ps, there are new songs! & i think they are badly sung. maybe 'cos i'm not suited for fast songs... so i need to practise...
before i went to taiwan, while packing my luggage, i had made a shopping list, and... :) if i see you 3 or more than 3 times a week, chances are, your name is on that list and you've got something ;) something among that big pile of stuff up there in the picture.
some highlights of some stuff i bought:
inside are lots of diet methods :P and muscle exercises & tables that tell you how many calories and the GI content of certain types of food. & i jus found out that lychee's GI content is high! and longan's GI content is like unmeasurable('cos too low). wah. both fruits are like so similar... but i would agree that lychee is sweeter... but i like these kinda round fruits, & it would be a novel idea to hang your Christmas tree with these fruits instead of the shiny balls. ^^ p.s. the book also tells you what kind of body your body is like according to your horoscope('cos she is a horoscope celebrity) & blood type. And mine is really quite accurate, it says I have low blood pressure :O & i'll get anemic very easily. & i realised that that is quite true 'cos sometimes when i sit for a long time & i stand up, i feel really giddy. :( you can ask me about your horoscope/blood type to see if the health description inside fits you :)
another thing i bought for myself was... well. quite a lot lah. :P but i "swear" they are necessities!! like a 30m WATER RESISTANT watch('cos my leather one stinks now. after so many sweat attacks). it's pink. a nice nike handbag(bought it when i saw it and it looked nice to me ^^ although later on i saw another adidas one but my mom said the nike one was nicer). it's pink too! walking shoes. pink too(half of it). running shoes(grey + pink)--not in the picture. guess what! that running shoes cost... NT900! which is about S$45. so cheap right? and it's because that pair was the tried on pair. like, lots of people tried that pair on and it became a bit old. =/ and it's like the last pair left... with only that size... which is my size! haha. about UK 5, or 5.5? yeah. i think my feet are quite big :O my dad bought a pair of nike shoes there too!! my dad has always been frugal bout his shoes. and now he "tan dio!"(赚到)! 'cos this shop got ho kang! (好货). actually, i'm not sure if i translated ho kang correctly...
okay. so enough about my stuff. you will get your stuff soon too ^^

anyway, the day immediately after i came back from taiwan at about 1pm 24th november, i had to go to school for badminton training. i didn't even know about it lah! until xh suddenly asked me "are you going for training tmr" and i was like WHAT got training?? even rachel didn't know! and i was the only Y3/4 girl there. so i played agst the Y2s and i felt really bad smashing them but i was so into it lah! haha. but they are improving a lot!! getting much better!! & they're very pleasant little girls! but kiona didn't come. i heard that she's got powerful smashes. hope to play with her sometime. i'll probably be thrashed flat. ;P
grrrr then coach made us do some exercises. SHIT. each exercise 5 sets of 20. and the legs&jumps totally killed me. my legs became jelly legs after that. haha. then in the end luke johannes xh and i were still lingering in the hall. then i wanted to let them listen to a song. and luke asked if it was english or chinese. i said chinese, then he said bye. LOL. then it began with this out of tune girls voice and i told them "it's not me okay!" HAHA. but they all say sound like me T.T HAHA. i took out my phone and xh saw my new phone pouch. then he said "wah you everything new lah..." then he laughed. LOL of course! new stuff are what motivate me :O and making them old... and buying newer stuff :O lol.

long awaited...
CANOE POLO TRAINING!!! after a loooooooooooooooong hiatus!!
well, i was late :( good thing 151 came earlier than i expected though! wanted to use vamps... but all vamps taken up by the guys. but it's okay! i'm glad i got a good acrobat at least... and a light paddle. first person i saw there was bernard! =D so fascinating seeing new faces. :D
then i was taking out my SKIN FOOD SPF 42 BROCCOLI SUNBLOCK LOTION(lolll another zhan li ping, but it's just SAMPLE packets) and rushing to the toilet 'cos my stomach was running :S then i looked around then saw weehong coming in and waving with his... TM(trademark) grin! HAHA. and i was so surprised! okay lah... he probably coached the rest so they don't feel surprised but i felt surprised!!! =D haha. 'cos i miss him a lot!
then it was training and i did some warmups. but i didn't do dribbling LOL. i just paddled around to get that feeling that i've been missing for a long time. then weehong asked the senior guys to do passing and the juniors + me did some rolls. and i failed :O shit! i came up then went back down le. but nvm... weehong told the junior guys(minus stuart) and i to do passing & i enjoyed it =D haha. fun lah. bad passes, hollering to them to use their paddles when necessary. i think stanley and bernard are very eager to learn.
anyway, stuart joined us later. then weehong showed us some paddle skills(which randy & xh did very easily later on !)
then weehong asked me to demo to them how to get the ball.
1. try to improve on boat control. then you can travel to the ball instead of reaching for the ball
2. use your paddle to get the ball(but not to the extent of molesting! haha)
so anyway the one i demo-ed was i travelled towards the ball and got it. then after that weehong told us one by one to use paddle to get the ball.
then, he told me to demo to rebecca paddle roll. and he told me i leaned to one side of the boat too much, and could only get up when i swinged my arm to the other side. so he told me to try not to lean so much, or i can try to swing the arm faster. but i always lean when i do roll =/
anyway, he told me to help rebecca with her roll with the help of the wall. so i got out of my boat to help her. then i tried to flip her over like hengfoo did with us last time. i didn't really need to flip her so much cos she had the wall, but once she lost hold of the wall and i was in the water and she was struggling!!! =S whoops.
anyway i thought that the wall wouldn't do her any good 'cos she never goes down fully. so i told her to do with paddle. then i corrected some minute details and told her what it should feel like, the hip flick and how to use the paddle etc. LOL. SHE DID IT LOR!!! omG... i'm beginning to feel like i'm really quite stupid 'cos i spent so long to learn MY ROLL. but doesn't matter lah. at least i'm teaching other people now right? ;) weehong said i was a good teacher! :D
so later weehong suddenly came to test us. he told us to do paddle roll. rebec and i both did it :D
then... we did whatever we wanted and i "played" some stern turns with the new guys. jehon was teaching them too! and he told stanley he was leaning wrong way. i saw too. anyway i demo-ed and went under bern's boat. but never come out HA. LOL. half a stern-turn. gah. i think our guys very pro lah. so fast they can do a complete stern turn. but... maybe they'll say it's very normal, and we are just slow. lol. well, gotta work harder then! reminds me of the days, hengfoo not at pool, so we were self-coaching and the guys taught us. firstly, weechye and jehon taught us stern turn and they were so nice we wanted to write them cards but didn't in the end 'cos we were too lazy LOL. then once all the guys were doing their own thing but we really needed guidance and even though xh wanted to join the guys he would go there for a while, look at us, then turn back to teach us. even though he always looked in a hurry to go back to join the guys. such a nice person!
there are others too... err like there was once we were practising skills. & randy showed me dips. and he's like, good at rolling too. jong also encouraged us on learning on stern turns & dips.
okie. sidetracked too much. so after the playing-with-stern-turns, we did cross passing. haha. i asked weehong what to do next and he asked me what i wanted to do, so i said cross passing! it is my favourite drill! what is yours! maybe i'll set up a poll...

i enjoyed cross passing. we shouted a lot of rules which hengfoo set for us(for cross passing). but the juniors didn't really know. so... here's as far as i can remember...
1. don't molest the ball. row towards it to get it.
2. row fast to get it, or else if hengfoo gets it... SPRINTING TIME!~
3. if we have more than one ball, when one ball is lost, spare ball should be used
4. when a ball is lost, turn fast! to get it.
as far as i can remember...
anyway i enjoyed it. then, it was GAME TIME!
some things i remembered:
my team consist of me weechye lianhan stuart bernard and tiong! & stuart was the keeper! actually, weechye was also the keeper. and he blocked balls! damn pro! both our keepers are like, on the other team -.- i'm surprised we scored anyway! actually not lah. usually when we playing with our keepers "balanced", we still can score. but, i'm surprised we scored more than the other team!(i think!)
haha.
anyway, there was once, jehon was damn hiong lah. i was being the right zoner. then i tried to stern turn him. then he push me until i was out. shit! haha. i was painstakingly trying to get back into position then he started hollering "EH GOT ONE EMPTY HOLE HERE!" i was like T.T
our bernmaster became chaser. woohoo!! then once me and lianhan sort of got mixed up then we were both on the left side trying to zone but i think i was being extra & he was doing the pushing :S
randy and xh very very very hiong in attacking lor! very good! role models.
i like it tt tiong shouts what to do. then i know what to do. i sort of got the hang of it... (which i should have after such a long time). anyway there was once i drove in quite safely on stanley's side but weechye never see haha. then he like pass to other ppl then pass pass pass... someone scored!!! HAHA. yay!! bernard also scored! prokia!
then there was once i damn tyco lor. i was hesitant on whether i should shoot, and my teammates kept telling me not to shoot. but xh told me to shoot! & he was the keeper!! & i think i was a bit stupid. 'cos how can he be telling me to shoot when he's on the other team... must be because he thought my ball wouldn't go in... but it DID! VERY VERY TYCO-LY!!! LOL. then my teammates were like "wahla----- wooooo!!!!~~~~" LOL.
then weehong did some debrief and the guys did 80 pushups! :O xh and i did 100 during bmt trng. damn shit. and i cheated during the 100. & xh was the first to finish the 100. then the 80 cp pushups... he led too! he and lianhan... and they were doing perfect ones(from my view i can only see them so if anyone else did perfect ones too i nvr see lah...). i think they so pro lor.
anyway, so this was what happened during my first cp training after a long time, and after all that singing busy-ness. i'm back to this sport which i love. :) & i still love it!
since there are new readers to this blog, let me post up some cp pictures to let you all know what it's about...
it's like water polo... you chase the first ball instead of jumping ball/scissors paper stone. but you chase them in kayaks. so this should actually be called kayak polo... it's like basketball on water, but the goal is a big rectangle instead of a net. a paddle can be useful in gameplay too.
NUS High Number 4: Randy Yeo. he's trying to snatch the polo ball away from NP No. 5. he's gotta use his hands, 'cos if he uses paddle and it touches No. 5's hand, it would be a dangerous paddle(illegal paddle) and he'll be committing a foul.

handtackling other people is what makes the game more exciting, and can also be used to gain possession of the ball. therefore, recovery is important. and a technique called hand roll(which i can't do :( i can only do using paddle, and that is called paddle roll) is used for recovery. here, NUS High No. 1: Lianhan, is in the middle of his recovery.
