about sunday's matches.

i dun think it's too bad. i attempted a shot in the game agst red tide ladies. it didn't go in 'cos it curved too far to the left but then lol it dinn get blocked by any paddles :P "lob ball". hengfoo tells us to just attempt any shot at any chance we've got. unlikely it'll get blocked by paddle 'cos ours are lob balls. LOL.

oh yeah on saturday, i cut in between an scube player and the ball and got it. but i forgot what happened next. wah. they are hiong. i mean of course la, if you got the ball, sure got people come and pressure you one. i remember once someone was pressuring yunzhi, so she passed to me 'cos i was open. then the person who initially wanted to pressure her immediately change course for me :D while she was approaching me, i shield the ball, then when she was nearer to me i pass to yunzhi who was open, then the person who turned to pressure me can't go back to pressure yunzhi in time :P :P :P!

in the match against SMOGs, there was once i really feel quite proud of myself. when we lose possession or any "mistake" happens, we are all supposed to rush back to defend & zone. however, i think i became more daring & spiritually stronger(don't know how to say, maybe i became more confident). there was a ball which fell into the water. i think we lost possession. or the SMOGs bad pass. so i turned fast to get it(the rest were preparing to or already returning to zone). at first me and the SMOG girl were fighting with paddles. then we started using our hands at the same time. but good thing lah. 'cos we use hands at the same time neither of us can handtackle each other. so we were fighting for the ball and i jus snatched the ball away(like what i did during captain ball once during PE agst huixin, quite hiong. i mean, i think that's what i was like when i snatch balls. maybe it's a bad thing la). then my teammates turned to come back but i forgot what happened le... :$ after that they were saying that the spectators were all cheering for me while i was fighting for that ball. wow. now i understand what xuanhao meant by "when i'm in the game, i just block out everything and concentrate on the game". 'cos i didn't even know that the spectators cheered. maybe too concentrated on getting the ball le. but i could hear when i was chasing for first ball. maybe it's more quiet tt time(as in the game jus start so the game/players in action not so noisy :P)

also in the match against SMOGs, i remember i committed 5-seconds-possession foul. lol. i was trying to shield the ball to wait for people whom i can pass to. but i think i passed too late? erm, but then i really couldn't find anyone. so i was shielding. the person kept pressuring me and handtackle me but i didn't cap... but then phweeeeet! 5 seconds! lol. :$

someone also tried to handtackle me. a very skinny girl(i don't know her name). but she PUSH WRONG PART SIA! she molest meeeeeeee! hahaha. i feel violated LOL!!! then referee phweeeeeet and it was illegal tackle and she smiled sheepishly at me hahahahah. quite cute la. lol. i was trying to shield the ball. at least i not that scared of handtackle la. i think. i used white boats all the way throughout competition 'cos i think it's really good to use. footrests are nearer than blue boats. :D easier to roll i think :D

ohh... i committed a paddle-to-hand foul during one of the matches but i can't remember which. anyway, i just feel that this whole competition was a good experience and i hope to play more matches in the future. hai. this week + next week got so many tests again... life is sad :(

i jus wanna correct my paddling technique now. i think that once i correct it i can sail through the waters like a dragon(i hope so :P). hopefully i'll be able to chase my first successful ball one day(in a competition/friendly). i hope to attempt many more shots in the future as well.

ocube is really impressive. the way they pass such hard-to-pass in-zone shots. rookies/SP teams scarier. the people pressure like crazy and they can still pass. scoring is very difficult with so many paddles pressuring. :x

i really enjoyed the competition. yeah, we weren't aiming to win, and i felt that i was having fun all the time. no pressure :) well, i guess we still are expected to learn something out of this competition. it was a great experience. & i really think i put in my best best best efforts. wish people can gimme due credit! 'cos sometimes i feel like those Russian gymnasts, when they have already tried their best but their coach keeps on wanting them to be more perfect. (p.s. i'm not talking about hengfoo here). i think that improvement will come with time. maybe it's out of my capabilities. but in the future things will get better.

p.s. hengfoo was like saying "wahlao play against xiao hai zi still want to shout so much!" LOL the NUS ppl... anyway the guys tied with them... wonder if there will be extra time... should have... haha. but duno what happen ley. (???)
